Part of the Team

posted by Posted by Kori Clark Designs | | Leave a Response

After having the opportunity to work with the LOVELY Kim from Kimtown on our Kori & Kate site, she asked me about doing some freelance work for her. Of course, she has such fabulous websites, I was thrilled to be a part of the design, and jumped at the chance! I am now part of the Kimtown team. To read about it on her blog - CLICK HERE

I have done some website "skins" (basically a design collection to dress up your site) already and will be adding some splash pages very soon! Here's a peek at one of my "skins" - CLICK HERE

Kori Clark Designs

Seems I am making it back to my roots!!
About 3 years ago, I began doing stationery designs, and loved every moment! Ever since graduating in graphic design (about 10 years ago), I have also done freelance work designing logos and marketing material for various companies and organizations. About two years ago, I began painting as well, focusing on wall letters and hair bow holders. This is when I started my Etsy shop, which my husband can affirm, is a true addiction for me! I loved the personal interactions, creating the perfect thing for people, and getting to design whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted! Doing both businesses while also staying home with my daughter grew to be a lot more work than I expected.
Now, we have a son on the way! He should be welcomed into the world in only about 8 weeks, which meant we would have less time, and less space. These were the two things that my painting took A TON of! I decided that painting would have to go back to a hobby for the time being, and am thrilled with my decision. Along with this decision, I had the chance to take my Etsy shop and convert it to showcase my graphic design!!

I can still do custom designs and have my Etsy shop - which for once now consolidates my love of design! I am so very excited to offer Holiday Cards, Photo Cards, Invitations, Announcements, and more!

Here are a few of my Holiday Cards! Click on the link at the right of the blog to get to my Etsy Shop!

All of these AMAZING photos used as samples were courtesy of Courtney Vickers Photography! She is truly an outstanding photographer, as well as a beautiful person.

I loved doing these letters for Baby Audrey! She is going to have one of the most peaceful baby rooms ever. Why? Because it is a Beachy Baby Room! She may even come into the world wearing flip flops....

Here are her Beachy Baby Letters

Thank You Dena for letting me paint these for your little girl!

She looks so sweet doesn't she? innocent even??

Then, there is Saturday evening...it's been a long day...pregnant mom (aka me) lays back on the couch and closes her eyes for a second....apparently, a second was plenty of time for my almost 2 year old to decide I MUST be thirsty and pick up my ice water....and poor it on my face!!!!!!! AGGGHHH!!! Sorry I was too busy jumping around the living room to get a photo of the results.

But........

she looks so sweet....

Summer Dresses

I told you I was still painting! Lately I have had more requests for my bow holder designs to be painted on the adorable little dress shapes I get! I think these dresses are so cute and girly, so it's fun to try and get other designs to work with them!
Here are two I did recently, a Princess dress Bow Holder, and Pretty In Pink as a Dress Bow Holder! You can see the original designs HERE

Guess what my little princess is wearing this hot summer.....dresses! Here she is after a bowl of spaghetti (see the sides of her mouth) cuddling her favorite baby!
